Just a little follow-up on Abby's b'day since I didn't post anything from the actual day. Obviously most of the excitement took place on the day of her party, but we tried to make her birthday special too. Nana and Pa took our family out to dinner at Red Robin, and both kids had a blast. Abby thoroughly enjoyed both eating and making a complete mess of her macaroni and cheese. She wasn't quite sure what was going on when the servers sang "Happy Birthday" to her, but decided it was worth it when the handed her ice cream! It was her first ice cream, and she definitely loved it. We let Eli have most of her sundae, but he very sweetly shared!
Abby, of course, has been having a great time playing with all of her new toys. One of her favorite places these days is at the play kitchen that Ryan and Eli and I gave her. It wouldn't be complete, of course, without the awesome dishes she got from Aunt Debbie and the great food she got from her friends and Uncle Harold and Aunt Natalie. Thanks, everyone! I've discovered it's actually quite difficult to get a good picture of her playing with her kitchen since it's against a wall, and therefore she's always facing the wall while playing there!
that kitchen is so cute!
